Warning: This post has nothing useful. Just the thoughts of my mind.
I am in a position in my life which I keep on confronting again and again. On one hand there is lot of work to do -- interesting work -- but on the other hand, there is this wicked mind which compels me to waste almost all the time I have on apparently useful but factually useless things like cricinfo, ebay, imdb, youtube, etc. Did you notice something? Yes, Internet is the platform on which these evils form their brotherhood! Now I guess some of my friends will understand why I am trying to run away from "on-line" services offered by this wonderful product of technology commonly known as Computer.
Why then, you must be wondering, have I restarted blogging? Because
1. Convincing everyone, especially myself, that the solution to my wows lies in restrained use of Internet was important and
2. Completely and abruptly giving up our attachments doesn't work.
So what next? Hmm... I have to give up this addiction. But addictions are difficult to give up -- indicated by the very fact that they are called "addictions". That's where the role of "determination" comes in. My good old friend. At least that much I should learn from Dravid if not anything else.
I faced a similar problem with Typeracer earlier. And I have successfully managed to overcome it. I now race only once in a couple of weeks (BTW, my current average speed is above 75). Ahh!! Regulation is the word. Determined Regulation. Still better! Thank you Mr. Blogger for giving me fresh hope in this matter. Get Set -> Ready -> Go !!
